Technology for Your Face

Modern science is wonderful. I love how we keep finding new and better uses for things … and how the gadgets aren’t just for men anymore! I have a new complexion miracle …

I have found the most amazing new tool – the Clarisonic. This thing is awesome! It is basically that Sonicare toothbrush adapted as a face buffer. I tried the demo in the store, it didn’t seem that powerful, but I decided to give it a go anyway. It comes with instructions how to use, the order of scrubbing, and metered beeps to tell you when to move on. Out of faith (maybe desperation) I complied. My face almost immediately was like a baby’s butt!!

My old routine consisted of a regular routine of hodgepodgeacid peels, dermabrasion, Retin-A and Hydroquinone. My skin often burned when I would put on a moisturizer or sun screen. It had always been this way, and I assumed that was due to overly “sensitive” skin.

After a week, I discontinued the use of these “unnatural” things, and went solely to the Clarisonic and a DDF moisturizer (and a very small dose of sprinolactone). Over time, all acne started to disappear. Redness went away, and my skin stayed smooth without having to artificially “burn” it off. After about two months, my skin is (dare I say it?) very care-free.

Perhaps I was just throwing too many things at the problem: persistant adult acne.I do believe there is beauty in simplicity, and for now, this seems to be the most eloquent approach.

Seriously, if I didn’t have one, I would be asking for one for Mother’s Day, Birthday, XMAS, Anniversery or a Hush Bribe. It’s that great!!

No I’m not paid. I bought mine at retail price from Sephora. The manufacturer’s website is www.clarisonic.com.
