Valentine’s Day 2008!!
So tell me … are you feelin’ the love today??
I sure am, check out my Valentine’s Gift !! I truly feel loved … I haven’t been able to play with it because it’s on order. I can’t wait !! I’m trying to figure out if I’ll keep my old one or not. It’s really tough because I’m trying to get over my Hoarding Disease. Tell me, honestly … do I REALLY need two if the new one has the digital memory??
It’s cold, windyand rainy today in San Diego – perfect weather for this scarf I whipped up a little while ago:
I was getting worried – the weather was BEAUTIFUL earlier this week – and I wasn’t sure I would be able to wear it! It is composed entirely of a Tunisian single crochet stitch. This stitch is great forintarsia, it makes a great grid. The mottled squares are actually three colors of yarn, changingeach color in both the forward and reverse passes. These three colors interwoven create a”tweedy” look. The yarn is the “cookies and cream”yarn – often used for towels – many of these colors are old and no longer made. I found them while organizing and weeding out my yarn. One is a cream, red and blue variegated, and the others are solid (red and cream).
Dante, Tigger and Stewie send their Valentine’s love.

VERY cool gift. Have you had fun playing with it??? Er….I mean sewing??? I have a 12 year old Simplicity serger that keeps going and going and going…..at this rate I’ll never get to buy a new one? Oh well, I guess that’s the idea.
Have fun!
