Leather at Mood (LA)!!
Oh my, oh my, oh my ….
I went to Mood again this weekend (it’s been a while), and after I was done admiring the new eyelets, I turned the corner to (gasp) find a whole rack of SOFT, SUPPLE, SEWABLE and BEAUTIFUL leather hides!! The prices were pretty good for such a great selection. All solid color hides were $4.50/sq-ft and the fancy ones could go up to $12/sq-ft. They were mostly all full hides, ranging between 7 and 10 square feet each. There were a few scraps, but not many.
One of my favorites was an amazing lazer cut hide (below), I wound up purchasing the items on the right … pewter finished lambskin and a pair of brown floral lazer embossed hides.
Additionally, there were furs and sherpa … along with all the other fabulous things Mood has!!
Like …. Belt buckles and buttons, Beautiful eyelets, Sweater Knits, English Suitings, Couture Laces … There are soooo many more pictures, here is the whole Mood Gallery – LINK

Hi Betty,
So you’re thinking of a pattern ‘catalog’ or ‘library’ type plugin? I like it!! It would be relatively simple based on the Pattern Review plugin (for Wordpress)
The Pattern Review widget is almost through it’s dry run phase and will be available for download next month (for those running wordpress). What application does blogspot use? I can see if I can make a plugin/widget for that. It may be a while, though.
I am working the PatternAddiction.com site into a database back-end, and will have that more user-friendly soon, too.

Oh, I wasn’t even thinking of a plug-in for my catalog (until I saw yours, LOL). I was just thinking of ways to make do with plain old Blogger and tagging things profusely, to force them into some sort of organization. I haven’t tried this out yet; right now it’s just an idea.
I don’t know exactly what kind of application Blogspot uses. It’s a web-based thing called Blogger and it’s owned by Google. I’m no expert but I get the impression that Blogger is not plug-in-friendly.
Actually, right now I’m having issues with Blogger and I was planning to switch to Wordpress in the near future. But there are a lot of Blogger users who regularly write pattern reviews on their blogs, so there might be some interest in a plug-in for it.

Glad to see you back! I took a few trips to Paris and London way back in the 80s when I was in high school, and I’ve been wanting to go back ever since.
I also wanted to say that I am intrigued by your new Pattern Review feature too. I’ve been contemplating a blog-based pattern catalog of my own for a while, though I don’t sew enough to feature reviews on my site like you do. But I like anything that makes more pattern information accessible on the web (especially the vintage stuff, it’s so much fun to look at!)
